Kampay for Taybas!!

Ive been to Tayabas so many times, actually my godchild Zydrick is from Tayabas a certified tayabasin. If my grasp is right the first time ive been to Tayabas is when we sneak from our cheering practice. Its Fiesta at that time, so it means "my perya" lol.. rides... firts time to ride on a ferris wheel.
Every time i went their i can see that Tayabas really want to preserve its culture. I have seen its old spanish bridge the Puente del Malagonlong, the Tayabas Basilica, and some of its resorts like Grace Land... what a paradise...ive been their beacause of our teacher in NSTP, ahhm..if im not mistaken she is one of its members .Aside from this i still want to see more of Tayabas. I heard from my "kumare" that every fiesta they have a race... an interesting race that i want to witness they call it "karera ng mga buntis".. pregyy mommy race.. cool...Other one is the "Hagisan ng Suman" they do it to honor San Isidro de Labrador.Suman is the ritual of hagisan. It is cooked with great enthusiasm by tayabasin because for them it is an apportunity to share their properity. Bundles of suman are tied in a pabitin made up of a bamboo called Bagakay. And as soon as the image of San Isidro de Labrador passes by, the pabitin must be emptied of its abundance. They also have the Mayohan. See how Tayabas gives us an interesting treats. Kampay for Tayabas.!!!
